## How this service works

Returns the layer over a bounding box (upper left and lower right corners) at valid_time as a PNG of the given width and height with the color scale applied. Set apply_color=false for the raw values, as_netcdf=true for NetCDF, as_csv or as_json for tabular values, and as_gif=true with num_images and zoom for an animated GIF over a map background. epsg selects the projection, 3857 by default.

Returns a binary PNG image (default), animated GIF, NetCDF file, CSV, or JSON depending on query flags. PNG/GIF include the layer's color scale unless apply_color=false. NetCDF contains raw gridded values. CSV and JSON contain tabular point values. Projection defaults to EPSG:3857 (Web Mercator).
