Looks up driving directions from origin to destination (lat,lon strings) for depart_time (YYYYmmdd.HHMM) and returns the forecast aligned to where the vehicle will be at each step, with the same road and atmospheric fields as the point time series. vehicle_heading, language, and instructions_type are passed to the directions engine, include_route adds the full directions response, saved_route_key reuses a previously saved route, and as_csv returns CSV.

Returns an array of route forecast objects, each aligned to a step in the driving route, containing arrays of road temperature (°C), road condition codes (1–10 indicating wet/slush/frozen/ice states), air temperature, surface temperature, precipitation rate, precipitation type, radar precipitation rate, snow depth, cloud cover, wind speed, wind direction, cross wind, solar radiation, visibility, and delay risk — all indexed by valid time (seconds since epoch). Also includes run_time and route_run_time metadata, and optionally the full turn-by-turn directions response.
