## How this service works

Checks up to 5 references against public registries: DOI through Crossref, arXiv ids through the arXiv API, ISBN-10/13 through Open Library (checksum first). Returns title, year, venue and a BibTeX entry plus an APA-style string for each verified one; unknown ones come back as not_found. Authors are given for DOI and arXiv only.

A JSON object with a results array where each entry includes the original input ID, its type (doi/arxiv/isbn), verification status (verified or not_found), title, year, venue/journal, authors (for DOI and arXiv), publisher, a formatted APA citation string, a BibTeX entry, and the source registry URL used.
