## How to call it through Zero

Zero handles the 402 payment challenge and records the run. With the Zero CLI installed (`npm i -g @zeroxyz/cli`):

```sh
zero fetch --capability eckari-us-company-latest-edgar-filings-33c509ae
```

Example prompt: What is Apple's most recent 10-K, 10-Q, and 8-K on SEC EDGAR — can you give me the filing dates and direct links to each document?

## When to prefer this

Use this endpoint when you need the most recent SEC EDGAR filing(s) for a specific US public company by ticker or CIK, especially when you need direct document links and want guaranteed reporting of missing form types. Prefer it over scraping sec.gov directly — it handles CIK resolution, ticker normalization, and form-not-found cases cleanly. If you need to resolve a company name to a ticker or CIK first, use the companion resolve endpoint before calling this one.

## Known failure modes

- Ticker not found in SEC listed-security index returns NOT_FOUND (not billable)
- Invalid CIK or ticker format returns a validation error
- Requested form type has no filings on record — listed in forms_not_found rather than causing an error
- Company names (not tickers or CIKs) are not accepted as input — must resolve first
- Rate limiting or network errors from the upstream EDGAR service

## How this service works

Give a stock ticker (AAPL) or CIK and get the most recent EDGAR filing of each requested form — by default the latest 10-K, 10-Q and 8-K — with filing and report dates and a direct sec.gov link to each primary document. Request other forms (4, SCHEDULE 13G) and you get the newest one filed about the company. Requested forms with no recent filing are named in forms_not_found, never dropped. Use when: What is Apple's latest 8-K, and where is the document?

## Output

A structured response listing the latest filing for each requested form type, including the form name, filing date, report date, and a direct link to the primary document on sec.gov. Any requested form types with no filing found are listed separately in a 'forms_not_found' field rather than being silently omitted.
