## How to call it through Zero

Zero handles the 402 payment challenge and records the run. With the Zero CLI installed (`npm i -g @zeroxyz/cli`):

```sh
zero fetch --capability halowerk-glossary-extractor-f1664b42 -d '<json body>'
```

Example prompt: Can you pull out all the specialist terms, abbreviations, and jargon from this 45-minute podcast episode — here's the URL: https://example.com/episode42.mp3 — and give me each one with a short explanation based on how it's actually used in the episode, plus the timestamp and exact quote where it first comes up? Output the glossary in English.

## When to prefer this

Choose this endpoint when you need a verified, timestamped glossary of specialist vocabulary from an audio or video recording — particularly for technical, medical, legal, or industry-specific content where jargon and abbreviations need context-specific (not dictionary) definitions. It is the right choice when quote-level verification matters (all findings are backed by verbatim transcript quotes). Prefer this over general transcription endpoints when the goal is terminology extraction rather than full transcription, and over manual review when recordings are long or dense with domain-specific language.

## Known failure modes

- Recording URL is not publicly accessible or returns an error — endpoint cannot fetch the file
- File exceeds 24 MB inline base64 limit — use URL-based input instead
- Recording duration exceeds 120-minute maximum — request is rejected
- No specialist terms or jargon detected in the recording — empty glossary returned
- Spoken language cannot be auto-detected — provide explicit BCP-47 language code
- Unsupported audio/video format — transcription fails
- Payment not completed via x402 protocol — request rejected with 402 status
- duration_minutes mismatch with actual file length — billing and processing may be affected

## How this service works

Takes a recording of up to 120 minutes and returns the specialist terms, abbreviations and jargon it uses, each with a short explanation based on how it is used in the recording (not a general dictionary definition), its category, the quote where it first appears and the timestamp. Every finding carries a verbatim quote from the transcript; quotes are searched in the transcript and findings whose quote cannot be found are dropped and counted, so nothing invented passes through.

## Output

A structured list of glossary entries extracted from the recording transcript, each containing: the specialist term or abbreviation, a context-specific explanation (derived from how it is used in this recording, not a generic dictionary definition), its category, the verbatim quote from the transcript where it first appears, and the timestamp of that first occurrence. Entries whose verbatim quotes cannot be verified in the transcript are automatically dropped and counted, ensuring no hallucinated terms pass through.
