# HALOWERK Loudness Report

> HALOWERK Loudness Report is a paid API for AI agents from medien.halowerk.com, paid per call via x402, $0.002/call, status unknown (last checked 2026-10-31).

Analyzes 1–20 audio or video files for EBU R128 loudness metrics (integrated LUFS, true peak dBTP, loudness range LU, duration) and rates each against standard targets like podcast, streaming, broadcast, and audiobook.

Status and success rate cover calls made through Zero and Zero's own probes. Third-party monitors may report differently.

## How to call it through Zero

Zero handles the 402 payment challenge and records the run. With the Zero CLI installed (`npm i -g @zeroxyz/cli`):

```sh
zero fetch --capability halowerk-loudness-report-9d2703dc -d '<json body>'
```

Example prompt: Can you check the loudness of my podcast episode at https://cdn.example.com/episode42.mp3 and tell me if it passes the podcast (-16 LUFS) and streaming (-14 LUFS) targets, and how much gain I'd need to add if it fails?

## When to prefer this

Choose this endpoint when you need standards-compliant EBU R128 loudness measurements (LUFS, dBTP, LU) with explicit pass/fail ratings against industry presets (podcast, streaming, broadcast, audiobook) for up to 20 files at once. It is purpose-built for audio/video QA workflows, pre-publication compliance checks, and batch loudness auditing — more targeted and cheaper than sending files to a general-purpose AI transcription or audio processing service.

## Known failure modes

- File exceeds 24 MB limit — reported as error for that file
- File cannot be decoded by ffmpeg — reported with error, not dropped
- URL is inaccessible or times out — reported as error
- More than 20 files submitted — request rejected
- base64 content too large — exceeds field length limit
- Invalid target enum value — request rejected with validation error

## How this service works

Takes 1 to 20 audio or video files (each up to 24 MB) and returns a loudness report: integrated loudness in LUFS, true peak in dBTP, loudness range in LU and duration per file, measured with ffmpeg's EBU R128 meter. Every file is rated against the selected targets — podcast -16 LUFS, streaming -14, EBU broadcast -23, ATSC broadcast -24, ACX audiobook -20 — with pass or fail and the gain in dB that would reach the target. Files that fail to decode are reported, not dropped.

## Output

A per-file report containing integrated loudness in LUFS, true peak in dBTP, loudness range in LU, and duration; each file is rated pass or fail against each requested target (podcast, streaming, broadcast_ebu, broadcast_atsc, audiobook_acx) with the gain in dB needed to reach that target. Files that cannot be decoded are flagged with an error rather than silently dropped.
