- Symbol lookup depends on GDELT mapping company name to ticker; obscure tickers may return poor results
- limit must be between 1 and 50; values outside range are rejected

## How this service works

News search API: current news on any topic in any language from the GDELT Project, which reads the world's press every 15 minutes. Titles matched in their original script, newest first, with publisher, language and link; filter to one language; a US stock ticker searches the company's name. Window up to 30 days (default 72 hours). Input: query and/or symbol; optional language, limit, since_hours.

## Output

A list of news articles ordered newest first, each containing the article title in its original script, the publisher name, the language code, the publication timestamp, and a direct link to the article. Results are drawn from GDELT's global press index updated every 15 minutes.
