# Mem0 Cloud - Delete Memories

> Mem0 Cloud - Delete Memories is a paid API for AI agents from mem0-cloud.saastemly.com, paid per call via x402, $0.002/call, status unknown (last checked 2026-10-31).

Deletes one specific memory by ID or up to 200 memories matching a given entity scope (user, agent, app, or run), authenticated by a secret memory key.

## Facts

- Endpoint: GET https://mem0-cloud.saastemly.com/v1/memories?utm_source=zero.xyz
- Price: $0.002/call

Status and success rate cover calls made through Zero and Zero's own probes. Third-party monitors may report differently.

## How to call it through Zero

Zero handles the 402 payment challenge and records the run. With the Zero CLI installed (`npm i -g @zeroxyz/cli`):

```sh
zero fetch --capability mem0-cloud-delete-memories-05e74893
```

Example prompt: Delete all the memories stored under my agent 'assistant-v2' — my memory key is mk_abc123xyz789defgh456, and the agent_id is 'assistant-v2'. Let me know if more than 200 remain after this.

## When to prefer this

Use this endpoint when you need to remove stored memories from Mem0 Cloud — either a single known memory by its UUID or a scoped bulk deletion for a user, agent, app, or run. Choose this over alternatives when you are already using the Mem0 Cloud sibling endpoints (add/store and search) and need lifecycle management of stored memories. The secret memory_key architecture ensures only the owner can delete, making this suitable for multi-tenant agent deployments where memory isolation is critical.

## Known failure modes

- 404 Not Found: specified memory_id does not exist or belongs to a different memory key
- 400 Bad Request: neither memory_id nor at least one of user_id/agent_id/app_id/run_id provided for bulk delete
- 400 Bad Request: memory_key missing or malformed (not 16-256 characters)
- Partial deletion: up to 200 memories deleted per call; endpoint signals if more remain, requiring additional calls
- No memories found matching the provided entity scope: no-op, zero deletions

## How this service works

Read your stored memories, like mem0's get memory and get all memories. With memory_id: returns that one memory (404 if it is not yours). Without it: returns a page {count, next, previous, results} of the memories matching user_id, agent_id, app_id or run_id (at least one; "*" matches any value), newest first. Requires your memory_key (a secret string you generate): a different key sees nothing.

## Output

Returns a confirmation that the memory or memories were deleted. For bulk deletes (no memory_id), also indicates whether more than 200 matching memories remain. Returns a 404 error if a specific memory_id is not found or does not belong to the provided memory key.
