# SiteCheck Tides API

> SiteCheck Tides API is a paid API for AI agents from api.sitecheck-api.workers.dev, paid per call via x402, $0.002/call, status unknown (last checked 2026-10-16).

Returns NOAA tide predictions (high/low water times and heights) for a US coastal station by location or station ID

## Facts

- Endpoint: GET https://api.sitecheck-api.workers.dev/api/tides?utm_source=zero.xyz
- Price: $0.002/call
- Payment: x402
- Status: unknown

Status and success rate cover calls made through Zero and Zero's own probes. Third-party monitors may report differently.

## How to call it through Zero

Zero handles the 402 payment challenge and records the run. With the Zero CLI installed (`npm i -g @zeroxyz/cli`):

```sh
zero fetch --capability sitecheck-tides-api-c4d02c48
```

Example prompt: What are the tide predictions for the next 3 days near The Battery in New York — give me all the high and low times and heights?

## When to prefer this

Use this endpoint when you need authoritative NOAA tide predictions for any US coastal or territorial location. It supports flexible lookup by station ID, place name (geocoded), lat/lon coordinates, or station name search. Prefer this over generic weather APIs when you specifically need tidal high/low cycle times and heights in meters referenced to MLLW datum, especially for boating, fishing, beach planning, or marine operations.

## Known failure modes

- No station found for given place name or coordinates — returns empty or error
- Station ID not recognized — invalid 7-digit NOAA ID returns error
- Search fragment fewer than 3 characters — rejected by validation
- Location outside US coasts/territories — not covered by NOAA CO-OPS
- Days parameter out of range (must be 1–7) — may return error or default
- No input provided (station, place, lat/lon, or search required) — returns validation error

## How this service works

Tide predictions (high and low water, metres above MLLW, UTC times) for 1 to 7 days at the NOAA station nearest a point, or at a station id, from NOAA CO-OPS (US public domain). Give lat and lon, or a place name. Coverage is US coasts, Great Lakes and territories only; a point more than 100 km from a station is a 404, not charged. search=name lists stations.

## Output

Returns a JSON object with tide predictions (high/low) for up to 7 days: each prediction includes a UTC timestamp, type (high or low), and height in meters relative to MLLW (mean lower low water). Also includes station metadata (ID, name, state, lat/lon), datum description, total prediction count, and data source attribution. Coverage is US coasts and territories only.
