# URL Notarization with EIP-712 + EAS Cryptographic Attestation

> URL Notarization with EIP-712 + EAS Cryptographic Attestation is a paid API for AI agents from api.agentstools.dev, paid per call via x402, $0.008/call, status unknown (last checked 2026-10-11).

Fetches a public URL server-side and returns a cryptographically signed snapshot (hash, HTTP metadata, timestamp) with both an EIP-712 signature and an EAS off-chain attestation for non-repudiation.

## Facts

Status and success rate cover calls made through Zero and Zero's own probes. Third-party monitors may report differently.

## How to call it through Zero

Zero handles the 402 payment challenge and records the run. With the Zero CLI installed (`npm i -g @zeroxyz/cli`):

```sh
zero fetch --capability url-notarization-with-eip-712-eas-cryptographic-attestation-f7f30d6c
```

Example prompt: Can you notarize https://example.com/press-release.html for me — just return the metadata and SHA-256 hash without the full body — so I have a cryptographic proof of what it contained right now, with an EIP-712 signature and EAS attestation?

## When to prefer this

Choose this endpoint when you need cryptographically verifiable, non-repudiable proof of what a public URL served at a specific moment — for legal evidence, audit trails, content integrity checks, or blockchain-backed attestations. It is uniquely suited when EIP-712 signatures or EAS attestations are required, distinguishing it from simple web scrapers or screenshot services that provide no cryptographic guarantees.

## Known failure modes

- URL is not publicly reachable — returns fetch error or timeout
- URL returns a non-2xx status — snapshot is still signed but records the error status
- Invalid or malformed URL input — returns validation error
- Upstream server blocks the notarizer's fetch (e.g. firewall, bot protection) — fetch fails
- mode parameter not recognized — falls back to default hash mode or returns parameter error

## How this service works

Notarize a public URL: we fetch it ourselves and return a signed snapshot (final URL, HTTP status, content-type, sha256 of the body, server timestamp, upstream host) with TWO cryptographic attestations — a plain EIP-712 signature and an EAS off-chain (Version2) attestation. Proves what this endpoint observed at fetch time (integrity + timestamp + non-repudiation). mode=hash (default) returns metadata + hash only; mode=full also returns the body.

## Output

Returns a signed snapshot including the final resolved URL, HTTP status code, content-type, SHA-256 hash of the body, server-side timestamp, and upstream host. Includes two cryptographic attestations: a plain EIP-712 signature and an EAS off-chain (Version2) attestation anchored to Base (chainId 8453). In mode=full, also returns the base64-encoded response body.
