Side effects
- Invalid or non-existent alert ID returns an error status
- Requested hours exceed the 168-hour maximum cap
- Alert already expired and cannot be extended
- Payment failure via x402/USDC causes request rejection
- Malformed add_hours value (e.g. non-integer or negative) returns validation error
