How this service works
Harvests the curated feed set for one topic and language, groups the headlines into events and returns one entry per event. The source count is the product: ten outlets on one story is a different signal than one. Never returns third party article bodies, only headline, own abstract and link.
Output
A list of deduplicated news event entries (up to the requested limit), each containing a headline, the service's own abstract, a link to the source article, and a count of how many outlets covered that event. No third-party article bodies are included.

Choose this endpoint when you need a deduplicated, event-clustered view of current news for a specific topic in German or English, and you care about source signal strength (how many outlets are covering each story). It's better than raw RSS or single-source feeds when you want to avoid headline redundancy and understand story prominence by coverage volume.
Side effects
- Invalid topic enum value returns a validation error
- Invalid language code returns a validation error
- period_hours exceeding 168 or below 1 returns a validation error
- limit exceeding 50 or below 1 returns a validation error
- No events found for the topic/language/period combination returns an empty list
- Payment failure (x402) results in a 402 response blocking the call
