How this service works

No SMTP probe is performed and no data is stored.

Side effects
- Missing 'email' query parameter returns an error response
- Malformed or extremely long email strings may return invalid_syntax=true with deliverable_guess='unlikely'
- Newly created or obscure MX records may not be found, resulting in has_mail_server=false for valid domains
- Disposable domain lists may not include the very latest temporary email providers
