How this service works
Prepaid credit for AgentDrives tool searches: $5 buys 500, $20 buys 2,000 and $50 buys 5,000. Without a key it returns a new API key that holds the credit. Each search with that key (POST /api/paid/find-tools) takes $0.01 from the balance, with no payment per call.
Output
Returns a one-time-shown API key (to be stored immediately), the number of calls added, the resulting credit balance in cents, and a payment receipt URL. The key must be passed as the x-api-key header on subsequent AgentDrives API calls.

Use this endpoint when an AI agent needs to self-provision or refund its AgentDrives account using an x402 micropayment. Prefer this over manual dashboard top-ups when running in fully automated, agent-driven workflows where a human is not available to log in. It is the only way to obtain a valid AgentDrives API key programmatically.
Side effects
- Payment declined or USDC transfer fails — no credits or key issued
- Invalid amount_usd value (must be 5, 20, or 50) — returns validation error
- Balance is not low and force flag is not set — top-up rejected with balance-not-low error
- Malformed buyer invoice fields — validation error on vat_id or country
- API key shown only once — if not stored immediately it cannot be retrieved again
