Use this endpoint when you need to evaluate a specific agent skill (identified by its slug in ClawHub or OpenClaw) rather than a generic x402 service. It is the right choice for pre-install safety screening of agent skills, especially when you want skill-specific risk flags (shell access, key handling), adoption/maturity context, and downstream x402 payment service ratings all in one call. Prefer the sibling x402-service endpoint for rating non-skill services directly.
Side effects
- Unknown slug returns 404 or empty result if the skill is not in the ClawHub/OpenClaw registry
- Stale data if the skill was recently added and hasn't been rated yet
- Skill may have been delisted from the registry, returning no active rating
- Network or payment failure returns an error and consumes the $0.005 USDC fee
