JSON-RPC read access to EVM chains (base, ethereum, polygon, arbitrum, optimism) with no API key. Send a standard JSON-RPC body (eth_call, eth_getBalance, eth_blockNumber, eth_getLogs). Also callable as GET with the same fields as query parameters.
Output
A standard JSON-RPC response object containing the result field with chain data (balance in wei, hex-encoded block number, log array, contract return value, etc.) matching the requested eth_ method output format.

Choose this endpoint when you need keyless, pay-per-call read access to EVM blockchain data across multiple chains without managing API keys or subscriptions. Ideal for agents that occasionally query on-chain state (balances, logs, contract calls) and want simple HTTP-based JSON-RPC without standing up infrastructure. Prefer over self-hosted nodes when cost-per-call economics work and multi-chain support matters.
Side effects
- Unsupported chain name returns an error — only base, ethereum, polygon, arbitrum, optimism are valid
- Invalid or malformed JSON-RPC method name returns an error response
- Incorrect params format (must be pipe-separated in query string) causes parse failure
- Write methods (eth_sendRawTransaction) are not supported — read-only access only
- Payment failure (insufficient USDC) blocks the call with a 402 response
- Network timeout or RPC node unavailability returns a gateway error
