It is ideal for agents that check periodically rather than maintaining a persistent WebSocket connection, and for workflows where the cursor is stored externally between calls. Prefer this over webhook-based monitors when you want pull-based, pay-per-call polling with no persistent session.
Side effects
- Invalid address format (not a valid 0x hex 40-char EVM address) returns a 400 error
- Invalid or malformed ISO cursor string causes a 400 or 422 error
- Address with no new activity returns an empty events list with an updated cursor
- Base network RPC downtime may cause 503 or timeout
- Payment not processed (x402 flow incomplete) returns 402 Payment Required
