Prefer this over the category statistics endpoint when you need individual product-level detail rather than aggregated metrics, and over the price history endpoint when you want current cross-retailer breadth rather than historical depth for a single product.
Side effects
- Missing required 'category' query parameter returns a 400 error
- Invalid sort_by value returns a 400 validation error
- Unsupported retailer enum value returns a 400 error
- Cursor value pointing to a non-existent product_id returns empty or unexpected results
- Payment not provided or insufficient USDC returns a 402 error
- Category with no products returns an empty items array with has_more: false
