Example use cases
Brand sentiment monitoring on viral post

Endpoint
GEThttps://x402.apidirect.io/v1/instagram/post/comments?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Use this endpoint when you need structured comment data from a specific Instagram post or reel by URL or shortcode. It is the right choice when you want to analyze audience reactions, extract user feedback, or monitor engagement on known Instagram content. The optional AI sentiment analysis (Plutchik's Wheel) makes it preferable over raw scrapers when emotional tone per comment is needed. It supports pagination up to 20 pages and sorting by popular or recent, making it suitable for both quick sampling and deeper comment mining.
Side effects
- Invalid or deleted Instagram post URL returns an error or empty result
- Private account posts are inaccessible and return an access error
- Shortcode not found returns a 404-style error
- Exceeding the page limit (max 20) results in a validation error
- Rate limiting or Instagram anti-scraping blocks may return transient failures
- Malformed URL or shortcode format triggers input validation error
