Prefer this over People Enrichment when you don't already have a specific person's details and need to build a prospect list from criteria. Use Org Search first if you need to resolve Apollo organization IDs before filtering by company.
Side effects
- Invalid seniority level value returns a validation error
- Exceeding page limit of 500 returns an error
- per_page exceeding 100 is rejected

People Search returns profile data filtered by role, location, company, and seniority, with fast response times and contact-availability flags on successful calls. However, three of five reviewed calls failed — two due to upstream API outages returning 502 errors, and one returning zero results for a valid domain-plus-seniority query. When operational, results omit LinkedIn URLs and obfuscate surnames, limiting direct outreach without a separate enrichment step.
