The path-based product_id variant is useful when constructing URLs programmatically. Prefer it over scraping App Store pages directly, and use the companion search endpoint first if you need to resolve an app name to its numeric ID.
Side effects
- Non-numeric or invalid product_id returns no reviews with a note hint rather than an error
- App ID that does not exist on the App Store returns an empty reviews array
- Requesting a page beyond total_page_count returns an empty or minimal response
- Invalid country code may fall back to a default store or return no results
- Rate limiting or payment failure may interrupt the x402 pay-per-call flow
