Use this endpoint after obtaining a swap quote (via the sibling Swap Quote endpoint) when you need to actually execute the on-chain token swap. This is the settlement step — not for price discovery or quoting. Prefer this when you have a valid quoteId and need to finalize the trade with either permit2 or standard ERC-20 approve authorization, optionally sending output to a different recipient address.
Side effects
- Invalid or expired quote ID returns error
- Taker address does not match quote taker
- Deadline too short or exceeds 600 seconds returns validation error
- Approval method not recognized (must be permit2 or approve)
- Insufficient token balance or allowance causes transaction failure
- On-chain transaction reverts due to slippage or liquidity issues
- Malformed Ethereum address pattern returns 400 validation error
