astro.dutchdata.io Location Search (US/NY)

Use this endpoint when you need to search for cities or locations within a specific US state by partial or full name, and want rich location metadata (coordinates, timezone, population) in return. Prefer this over generic geocoding APIs when you specifically need to filter by US state/region and want structured city-level data with population included.

• No matching cities found for the query string — returns empty array
• Invalid region_code or country_code path parameter — may return 404 or empty result
• Missing query parameter — may return all locations up to the limit or an error
• Payment not processed (x402) — returns 402 Payment Required before data is delivered
• Rate limiting or service unavailability — returns 5xx error
