Use this endpoint when you have a prior AttestPage receipt (from /v1/fetch, /v1/verify/quote, /v1/verify/quotes, or a previous /v1/recheck) and need to determine whether the attested page has changed since that snapshot. It is the right choice when you need a cryptographically-backed change report tied to a specific prior attestation moment, rather than a fresh first-time fetch or a standalone quote check. Prefer it over general web scraping tools when auditability, receipt chaining, and tamper-evident change detection are required.
Side effects
- Invalid or expired receipt returns an error rejecting the recheck
- Page URL is unreachable or returns a non-200 status, resulting in 'gone' or 'unreadable' status
- Quote strings that do not exactly match those in the original receipt cause a validation error
- Receipt exceeds 160 KB size limit and is rejected
- URL exceeds 2,048 character limit and is rejected
- Mismatched quote/quotes fields (using both simultaneously) causes a schema error
- Payment failure via x402 protocol results in 402 response and no data returned
