How this service works
Add purchased time to the current expiry of one active receive-only inbox. The same inbox id, address, messages, read/delete capability, and limits remain in place. Deleted or expired inboxes cannot be revived, and prepaid expiry cannot exceed 30 days from the extension time.

Returns a JSON object confirming the inbox extension was accepted and succeeded, including the updated inbox address, the new expiration timestamp, the previous expiration timestamp, how many additional seconds were added (86400 = 24 hours), the inbox ID, the current state (active), a verifiable receipt reference with a URI, and an output digest for verification.

Use this endpoint when an agent already has an active or recently active Ausca inbox and needs to prolong its lifetime without creating a new inbox or losing the existing address. Prefer this over creating a new inbox when continuity of the existing email address matters — for example, ongoing workflows that send replies to a fixed inbox address. This is purpose-built for Ausca's per-call payment model, so no account setup or provider API key is needed; just pay $0.05 USDC per extension via x402.
Side effects
- Inbox ID not found or already fully expired — returns an error state rather than succeeded
- Payment of $0.05 USDC not received or insufficient — request rejected before processing
- Malformed request body or missing required fields — schema validation error
- Inbox in a non-extendable state (e.g. revoked or deleted) — extension rejected
