How this service works
Read up to 5 public web pages in one call. Per URL: status, final URL, title, main content as Markdown, truncated flag, byte/char counts and an error code. Charged only if a page is read. $0.015 USDC per call on Base.
Output
For each submitted URL, the agent receives: the HTTP status code, the final URL (after any redirects), the page title, the main page content converted to Markdown (up to maxCharsPerUrl characters), a boolean truncated flag indicating if content was cut, byte and character counts, and an error code if the page could not be fetched. Results are returned in the same order as the input URLs, and a repeated URL is fetched only once.

Choose this endpoint when you need to fetch and read the textual content of multiple public web pages (up to 5) in a single API call, especially when you want clean Markdown output rather than raw HTML. It is ideal for agentic research workflows, content aggregation, and knowledge base ingestion. Prefer this over single-URL fetch endpoints when batching saves latency and cost. It is not suitable for crawling entire sites, fetching private/authenticated pages, or processing more than 5 URLs at once.
Side effects
- URL unreachable or returns non-200 status — error code returned per URL, charge still may apply if attempted
- Content exceeds maxCharsPerUrl — content is truncated and truncated flag is set to true
- Invalid URL format (less than 8 or more than 8192 characters) — request rejected
- More than 5 URLs submitted — request rejected by schema validation
- Private/internal URLs (non-public) may fail or return empty content
- Pages with heavy JavaScript rendering may return incomplete content
- Payment failure via x402 protocol — call not executed
