Output
Returns a ranked list of up to 10 search results, each containing a title, URL, and snippet. If read_top is set (1-3), the response also includes clean LLM-ready Markdown of the full page content for those top results, enabling in-context reading without a separate fetch call.

Choose this endpoint when you need live, current web results that your model's training data cannot provide — especially when you also want to read page content in the same call rather than making a separate fetch. It is ideal for citation-backed answering, news lookup, and research tasks. Prefer it over a plain fetch endpoint when you need ranked multi-source discovery first. If you only need to fact-check a single claim, use the AxonGate fact-check endpoint instead; if you only need a single page's content, use the AxonGate fetch endpoint.
Side effects
- Empty or ambiguous query returns low-quality or zero results
- read_top > 3 rejected; value is clamped or returns an error
- Target pages may block scraping, returning empty Markdown for that result
- Payment failure (x402) if USDC balance is insufficient — call is not executed
- Rate limiting if too many calls are made in rapid succession
- Some pages may return truncated Markdown due to content length or dynamic rendering
