Use this endpoint when you need a fast, entertaining, AI-written qualitative verdict on a Base ERC-20 token contract based purely on its on-chain code and state — specifically for proxy detection, ownership status, and contract structure. Prefer this over raw balance or ABI endpoints when you want a human-readable grade and roast rather than raw numbers. Do NOT use this for price, liquidity, holder distribution, or safety guarantees — it reads contract code only.
Side effects
- Invalid or malformed token address (not matching 0x + 40 hex) returns validation error
- Address is not a contract (is_contract: false) — verdict may still return but with limited facts
- Non-ERC-20 contract at address may result in erc20_shaped: false and incomplete fact extraction
- Network or RPC errors on Base may cause lookup failures
- Rate limiting or payment failure (x402) if USDC balance is insufficient
