How this service works
Refund a paid Payment Intent — reverses the full FLY transfer (partial refunds unsupported). Requires a Blackbird identity: link your agent wallet once at /connect, then call with x402 + SIWX (first call pays, later SIWX-signed calls are free); or pass a member JWT in the X-Blackbird-Token header.
Output
Returns a confirmation that the Payment Intent has been refunded, with the updated intent status reflecting the full FLY transfer reversal. Partial refunds are not supported; the entire amount is reversed.

Use this endpoint when you need to fully reverse a paid Blackbird Payment Intent and return funds via FLY transfer. Choose this over the cancel endpoint (which only works on pending intents) when the payment has already been completed. Note that partial refunds are not supported — use only when a complete reversal is required.
Side effects
- Payment intent not found (invalid or unknown ID) — 404 error
- Payment intent is not in a paid state (already cancelled or refunded) — 400 error
- Missing or invalid Blackbird identity (no wallet linked, invalid JWT, or missing x402/SIWX headers) — 401/403 error
- Partial refund attempted — not supported, endpoint only processes full refunds
- Underlying FLY transfer reversal failure — upstream payment network error
