Use this endpoint when you need real-time token price lookups for one or more coins identified by CoinGecko slug or EVM contract address, especially within a pay-per-call flow on Base using USDC. Prefer this over general crypto APIs when you want no API key setup and per-call micropayment billing.
Side effects
- Invalid coin identifier format returns empty or error response
- Unknown CoinGecko slug returns no price data for that token
