Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized coin identifier returns an error or empty entry for that token
- Malformed coin ID format (missing coingecko: prefix or invalid contract address) may cause parsing error
- DeFiLlama upstream outage causes stale or unavailable price data
- Too many tokens in a single comma-separated list may result in timeout or partial response
- Payment failure (insufficient USDC balance) prevents call from completing
