It is preferable over generic blockchain explorers when you need cross-chain domain resolution in a single API call, or when you want protocol-level details alongside address resolution.
Side effects
- Domain name not found — returns empty or 404 if the domain does not exist on the specified chain or protocol
- Invalid chain_id — may return an error or empty result if the chain is unsupported
- Expired or inactive domain — if only_active is true, expired domains will be excluded from results
- Malformed domain name — improperly formatted names may return errors
- Protocol not supported — specifying an unsupported protocol_id returns no results
