Output
Returns a JSON object containing: the artifact ID (UUID), a temporary download URL, SHA-256 checksum of the file, file size in bytes, content type, creation and expiration timestamps, remaining allowed downloads, and the retention policy version applied. The download URL is valid for up to 7 days or 10 downloads, whichever comes first.

It is ideal for agent-to-agent handoffs where the file should self-destruct after a fixed number of downloads or time window. Prefer this over persistent storage when you want automatic expiry, a built-in integrity checksum, and micro-payment-gated access via the x402 protocol.
Side effects
- Filename does not match required pattern (alphanumeric, underscores, hyphens, must end in .txt/.csv/.json) — returns validation error
- data_base64 exceeds 1,398,104 character limit (~1 MB encoded) — returns payload too large error
- Invalid base64 encoding in data_base64 field — returns parse error
- Payment not provided or insufficient USDC balance — returns 402 Payment Required
- File content is not valid UTF-8 after decoding — may return encoding error
