Use this endpoint when you have an active Browserbase session (obtained via the create-session endpoint) that is approaching its time limit and you need to continue using it without interruption. This is the correct endpoint when you already have a session ID and want to add more prepaid time, rather than creating a brand new session. Prefer this over session recreation when you need to preserve browser state, cookies, and page context already established in the session.

- Session ID not found or already expired — session cannot be extended after expiry
- Insufficient USDC balance to cover the $0.002 extension fee
- Session ID in URL path is malformed or invalid
- Payment authorization failure during x402 protocol handshake
