Choose this endpoint when you already have a prospect's PID (from a prior Bytemine contact profile lookup or search) and need to unlock their full contact details — emails and phone numbers — for outreach. It is billed per unlock and includes an automatic email finder fallback, making it cost-efficient compared to running a separate email discovery step. Prefer this over generic email-finder APIs when you're already within the Bytemine data ecosystem and have a PID in hand.
Side effects
- Invalid or unknown PID returns a not-found error
- Contact exists but has no discoverable email even after email finder fallback
- Rate limiting or billing failure if USDC balance is insufficient
- Network timeout if the upstream contact database is slow to respond
- Missing required contactId path parameter returns a validation error
