Use this endpoint when you need a real-time snapshot of DeFi yield rates across protocols on a specific blockchain (especially Base, Ethereum, or Polygon). Prefer this over general market data endpoints when the user specifically wants to know where to earn yield or compare APYs across DeFi protocols on a given chain.
Side effects
- Invalid or unsupported chain name returns an error or empty result
- Chain parameter omitted may default to a specific network or return an error
- Network-specific data unavailable if the chain has no indexed yield data
- Payment failure (402) if USDC payment is not properly attached
- Rate limiting if too many requests are made in quick succession
