Use this endpoint when you want to either claim an open NYC hex plot at the base price of $0.10 or breach an existing owner's plot at the current decayed wall price. This is the primary ownership-change action on CitySquatters; prefer it over re-arm (which only resets decay) when your goal is to acquire or take a plot rather than defend one you already hold.
Side effects
- expectedVersion mismatch — another transaction changed plot state before this one, causing a conflict error
- Plot already owned and wall not sufficiently decayed — breach price too high to be cost-effective
- Invalid blockId format — must match ^cs-h3-[0-9a-f]{15}$
- Payment failure — insufficient USDC balance or x402 payment protocol error
- ownerLabel too long — exceeds 28 character limit
- signMessage too long — exceeds 96 character limit
