Endpoint
GEThttps://mpp.orthogonal.com/contactout/v1/email/enrich?utm_source=zero.xyzWhen to prefer
Use this endpoint when you have only an email address and need to identify the person behind it, retrieve their contact details, or enrich a CRM lead record. Prefer this over LinkedIn-based enrichment when you lack a LinkedIn URL but have an email. Ideal for sales prospecting, recruiting outreach, and contact deduplication workflows.
Side effects
- Email address not found in ContactOut database — returns empty or no-match response
- Invalid or malformed email address — returns validation error
- Rate limit exceeded — returns 429 error
- Authentication failure — returns 401 if API key is missing or invalid
- Partial data returned — profile exists but some fields (e.g. phone) may be absent
