How this service works
Pre-trade safety checks for smart contracts and tokens. All paid routes use the x402 'exact' scheme settling in USDC on Base (eip155:8453). Every 402 carries a signed offer and every 200 a signed receipt (EIP-712) — see /.well-known/x402 -> signing.
Output
Returns the number of alert mentions across monitored channels (e.g. whale_alert), broken down by category (security alerts, whale movements, listings, other), the list of channels checked, and the timestamp of the last check.

Side effects
- Invalid or unresolvable contract address returns an error or empty result
- Unsupported chain value returns a validation error
- Payment required (402) if x402 micropayment header is missing or incorrect
- Rate limiting or service unavailability may return 5xx errors
- Ticker not found in registry returns zero results rather than an error
