Choose this endpoint when the user's question requires multi-step reasoning, tool use, or synthesis across multiple data sources — and when a single deterministic data endpoint would not suffice. It is especially useful for open-ended questions about Arc on-chain activity, DeFi market dynamics, or any query that benefits from an agent autonomously deciding which tools to call. Prefer dedicated CRA data endpoints for simple, single-fact lookups (e.g. ECB rate, Wikipedia summary) to avoid unnecessary cost; use Think when the question is complex or the required data sources are not known in advance.
Side effects
- Task string shorter than 3 or longer than 500 characters returns a validation error
- Agent exhausts budget before completing reasoning — partial or truncated answer returned
- Underlying tools (Arc data, ECB rates, Wikipedia, etc.) unavailable — agent may return degraded answer
- Payment of up to $0.10 USDC not available or x402 handshake fails — request rejected before execution
- Ambiguous or unanswerable task — agent returns a best-effort response that may be low-confidence
