It is ideal for scheduled monitoring workflows where you want field-level diffs (before/after) rather than just the current state. Prefer it over a plain date extraction endpoint when historical comparison and change alerting are required, and when the 90-day result retention window fits your monitoring cadence.
Side effects
- URL is unreachable or returns a non-200 status, resulting in an error or no date data extracted
- No previous result stored (first call or data expired after 90 days), so 'changed' cannot be computed and baseline is established
- Page has no detectable date content, returning empty or null date fields
- Rate limit or payment failure causes the check not to execute
- Stale cache on the target page means the change is not yet visible at check time
