Use this endpoint when you need to explicitly terminate and clean up a Daytona ephemeral sandbox before its 30-minute natural expiry, or when you want to immediately free resources after finishing work in the sandbox.
Side effects
- Sandbox ID not found — sandbox may have already expired or been deleted
- Unauthorized — missing or invalid payment/auth credentials
- Sandbox currently in a state that cannot be deleted (e.g. provisioning in progress)
- Network timeout reaching the Daytona service
