Prefer this over general DeFi data feeds when the user's question is explicitly comparative (e.g. 'which is bigger?', 'which is growing faster?') rather than a single-protocol deep-dive.
Side effects
- Invalid or unrecognized protocol slugs return empty or null entries
- Fewer than 2 protocols in the array causes a validation error
- Stale TVL data if DeFiLlama upstream is delayed
- Payment failure if USDC on Base is not provided via x402
- Network timeout from on-chain RPC data source
