It is ideal for agents that have already fetched the DNS TXT record and need to interpret its contents without writing custom parsing logic.

• Malformed or empty DMARC string may return a parse error or unexpected fields
• Missing required DMARC fields (e.g. no 'p=' tag) may result in null policy values
• Non-DMARC TXT record input (e.g. SPF or DKIM records) may produce incorrect or empty output
• Payment failure via x402 returns a 402 status before processing occurs
