How this service works
Pay-per-call access to engineers ranked by verified open-source contributions and other public work. Unpaid calls to the paid resource return an x402 HTTP 402 challenge (USDC on Base). Authenticate with OAuth or an X-API-Key for monthly-credit billing instead.

Side effects
- Missing or invalid GitHub handle returns a validation error
- Unknown GitHub handle not indexed in DevMatch returns an empty or not-found response
- Unauthenticated call without X-API-Key or OAuth triggers an HTTP 402 payment challenge requiring USDC on Base
- Expired or insufficient USDC balance causes payment failure and no profile returned
- Rate limiting or credit exhaustion on monthly billing plans may block calls
