How this service works

Prefer this over a simple DNS lookup when building automated change-alerting workflows, detecting DNS hijacking, auditing zone integrity after migrations, or polling on a schedule. The 90-day result retention and field-level before/after diffing make it far more useful than a raw DNS query for change detection scenarios.
Side effects
- Domain not found or invalid domain name returns an error
- First call for a domain has no previous result to compare against, so changed will be false
- Results older than 90 days are purged, resetting the comparison baseline
- Payment failure or insufficient balance blocks the check
- Network timeout reaching the DNS zone
