Use this endpoint when you need to verify propagation for 2–8 specific domain/record combinations in a single round trip, especially after DNS changes like A, MX, CNAME, SPF, DMARC, or DKIM record updates. Prefer it over single-lookup endpoints when you have multiple records to verify simultaneously. For ongoing monitoring over time, use the propagation watch endpoint instead.
Side effects
- Fewer than 2 or more than 8 checks supplied — request rejected by minItems/maxItems constraint
- Invalid or non-existent domain name returns error or inconclusive verdict
- Unknown record_type value may cause check to fail or return empty
- Payment failure (402) if x402 USDC payment not attached or insufficient
- Transient DNS resolver timeouts may cause individual checks to report inconclusive status
