Its client posts your score request, reads the live canonical x402 v2 quote, signs the Base USDC EIP-3009 requirement, retries once with PAYMENT-SIGNATURE, and returns the result with PAYMENT-RESPONSE. Side effects
- Missing or empty text input returns a validation error
- Text too short to score meaningfully may return a low-confidence result
- Network timeouts are rare given ~150ms latency but possible under load
- x402 payment failure (insufficient SOL/USDC balance) blocks the request
- Malformed request body returns a 400-level error
