Each hit states its list, programme, reference and the list date. Returns matched entries from the EU consolidated financial sanctions list including sanction programme name, EU reference number, applicable regulation, listed countries, birth dates of the matched entity, the source/update date of the list, and a fuzzy match score indicating confidence of the name match.

Side effects
- Name not found — returns empty results if no match above threshold
- Threshold too high — legitimate matches missed if threshold set near 1.0
- Ambiguous names — common names may return multiple false-positive matches
- Stale data window — up to 24-hour lag since list is updated daily
- Invalid country code — malformed ISO-2 code may cause request rejection
- Missing required name parameter — returns validation error
