Output
Returns a JSON object with three fields: 'valid' (boolean indicating whether the VAT number is registered and active in VIES), 'name' (the official registered company name as it appears in the VIES registry), and 'address' (the official registered business address). Side effects
- Invalid or malformed VAT number format returns valid:false with no name/address

- Newly registered VAT numbers may not yet appear in VIES
